Herbert Riggs

As a 22-year resident, Northern Virginia will forever be my Home.

Born to a military family, New England's Maine Coast was my home for 18-years. Excelled in Baseball and Soccer in high school and recruited by scholarship to play soccer for the University of Maine. Making a paradigm shift from athletics, I attended Brigham Young University to affiliate with the internationally renowned Ballroom Dance Team where I participated in team and individual dance sport for 5-years.

Graduated from BYU with a BA in English to pursue a JD. Moved to DC. and spent 8-years with litigation firms like Howrey & Simon; Preston, Gates & Ellis; & finally Weil Gotshal & Manges . In an effort to refocus my life-style and recharge my health, I moved my employment to mortgage finance after graduating with a MS in Finance from Johns Hopkins.

After 5-years in mortgage finance, I was compelled to pursue a greater, more natural, passion in Real Estate.

In 2007, I joined Keller Williams, then, joined Re/Max 100 in 2009. In 2014, I became an Associate Broker and later nominated into the Re/Max Hall of Fame. In 2015, I became the #1 sales agent in the Re/max VA office as the brokerage became the Central Atlantic Outstanding Brokerage of the Year.

In 2002 I married Jenna Beth Stott and together we have 4 children: Maxwell (12), Lincoln (10), Eden (8), & Jonah (6). My family is my dream. They provide the meaning in my life, the motivation to succeed and the desire to be better.

I enjoy sailing the Chesapeake Bay and supporting the Washington Nationals.
